CHOOSING Health is to Take the High Road~(read on)

ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS: That is the diagnosis given me when I was 28 years old! Was told by an Orthopedist that I would be crippled and in a wheel chair permanently in my forties and be disabled. I refused to accept that 'dooms day' sentence ..... After defying the crippling effects this brings, with my spine completely fused , I went through unbelievable pain and still have stiffness but ..... many years later, I continue working in health care full time, have centered my life around fitness and exercise and beat all odds!~A rheumatologist who treated me remarked, " whatever you are doing keep it up" ...(swimming and lots of walking) plus most of all, I am a believer.... And my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has brought me through much peril into a place of victory and fulfillment..

It’s the topics in the “Plan For Success Forum” in the fall team proper. So far, I’ve only done the first & invited others to the challenge!
After we’re split further down into individual teams (Teddy Bears, Shooting Stars, e.g.), that will be where daily exercise minutes are posted in one part, and weekly weights in another.

That’s my advice to her, too. It is an insane situation for sure. If she leaves, I’m quite sure she’ll be a whistle blower. That really needs to happen. If I were the families of the residents I’d be up in arms, too. IISGH* Just bal all ‘round.

Awww, so sorry to hear it’s so badly smoky again. **SIGH** Hope it clears up for you. Such an horrible thing to endure.

LOL grub worms . . . . source of protein. ACK!!!!

Have a good evening, my dear and hoping that tomorrow is a better day.

Well, the biggest thing right now is getting the thyroid situation figured out. At least on the 30th he'll get the ultrasound he needs, and then we'll go from there. I just remember how terrible I felt when I first was diagnosed w/thyroid disease.

I had the same neuropathy in hands and feet that he has. So we're hopeful if the thyroid is handled, maybe we can avoid. Anyway, one step @ a time.

Waiting to hear from Clara what she's going to do w/the nursing facility position. I HOPE SHE RESIGNS. I am grateful that she is negative . . . . but that won't last forever. working in an environment where it is all around.

Hope you had a good day. We had really nice weather today. I hope that your air quality is improving.

Wednesday: Well, we got the call to set up the endocrine appointment. It was set for 9-28. THEN we got a call from the neurologist. She recommended an endo evaluation. Guess what! Already scheduled! Doh. Anyhow, Jas needs an ultrasound and blood work. The appointment ended up being changed to the 30th so we could have both done @ the same time. Then everything can proceed form the thyroid standpoint.

She also mentioned that IF nothing is found of significance w/the thyroid they MAY re-consider the neck surgery (she had talked w/the neurosurgeon). So, IF the thyroid treatment or whatever happens doesn’t help, may STILL go back if surgery is recommended.

Got all that? Good, I’m still wrapping my head around it all, too.

    Here’s to a great Wednesday. Mid-week!
