For my kids: I want to be a role model to my grown children. I want them to see that while weight loss is hard, they can do it too (and it only gets harder, the longer you wait). I want them to realize if their “old” mom who historically has hated exercise can do it, so can they. I want to live long enough to see them grow up and have families, careers, and satisfying lives of their own. For me: I want to look better and feel better! I want to swim more, walk more, run some, kayak, dance, live, love. I used to just want to climb 2 flights of stairs without hyperventilating; now I want to advance from walking 5X/wk to power walking/jogging 7X/wk. And for me, I want all of the things I want for myself for my kids!

My Goals:
Lose over 80 pounds!

Get out of those "Big Girl Clothes"!

Have more energy to play with my boys!

Be a good example for my sons so that they do not fall into the same trap I did!


My Program:
Taking it one day at a time while planning ahead for tomorrow.

Staying within my calorie range, exercising 3 days per week, drinking 8 glasses of water a day, limiting myself to 16 oz. of diet coke per month, keeping a journal, and using all the fabulous & FREE (can you believe it???) resources SparkPeople offers!
