I'm ** years old, notice it's not into 3 digits.....yet. :D but halfway there, ok, over half, BUt I'm getting offtrack, you'll find that a lot with me. I tend to wander, it's inherited, my Dad was like that...I miss him, he passed away 2/10/12 and is my incentive to lose the weight I'd regained when he was ill and in the hospital with 2 rare diseases. I tend to wander, it's inherited, my Dad was like that...I miss him, he passed away 2/10/12 and is my incentive to lose the weight I'd regained when he was ill and in the hospital with 2 rare diseases. They'd found this VERY healthy man, rarely sick a day in his life, had a brain tumor on my sister's and my birthdays in October, 2011. He went through surgery to have the tumor removed and came out with flying colors. Re-entering the hospital Nov 2, 2011 for dehydration, he came down with not one, but TWO rare diseases while in ICU; Herpes Simplex Encephalitis in the brain, and Aspergillis in the lungs. He left the hospital the end of January after the brain tumor returned, and passed on 2/10/12...the same day a few years after my uncle had passed, and unbeknownst to us at the time, the same day my aunt would pass in 2013. I think I'm going to avoid Feb. 10th from now on! ANYWAY,
I want to re-lose those 60 pounds and whatever else I've gained, and more. I'd like to get down to 170, and I know I can do it..I just have to keep at it. I did the 60 once, so there's no reason I can't do it again.
I've had Type 1 Diabetes since 1975 and on shots, until about 10 years ago when I started the insulin pump WHICH I LOVE. My control was so much better..until I switched to the new model recently, and then my blood sugars went whacky. But I'm slowly getting them back under control, took a couple of weeks, but I have.
I married my one love on August 21, 1982 and we have 2 wonderful kids, Scott & Brande whom I'm very proud of...just ask if you dare. :D
Well, now you know something about me..oh.....a secret....I have ALWAYS hated exercise, BUT I am doing it. I used to walk 1-1.5 miles a day, but stopped that, but I've gotten back to doing exercise every morning, so that's good....at least I think so...and that's what matters, right? :)
As I always like to say, pass on a smile to another, and you pass on a smile TO THE WORLD!!

My Goals:
I would love to lose 100 pounds if not more, but for now, I'd be happy with that. I had lost 60 before, but regained it, and I think more (haven't been weighed lately).
My Program:
I've been watching my food thanks to the Diabetes nutrition plan here, exercising, FINALLY, and having a much better attitude.
Personal Information:
I live with my Husband, and our 2 kids, well 1 of them part of the time, she goes from our home to her BF's, but hey, she's over age, so that's her choice. oh, and 3 shetland ponies (our daughters) and one Golden Retriever who is spoiled rotten.
Other Information:
I LOVE the Packers, Brewers, Fishing, oh and reading Jim Butcher books, especially the Dresden Files series. I had the opportunity to meet him down in IL a couple years ago and it was so INCREDIBLE. I also love his wife, Shannon's Sentinel Wars series. I used to twitter with Jim's sister alot, she's a writer too, but I've not been on twitter lately so I miss talking to her. :(
