Thanks for the feedback on my blog! Going from 270 to 145 should be enough. I have gone from 24/26 to an 8/10. After 5 more lbs, I may be in 6/8. I think I am sticking to my goal. If I were 25 maybe I would go lower but I an 48. If I stay at my goal weight the rest of my life, I think I am doing pretty dang well.

    Hi there ALIHIKES,
I'm in my late 50's too. I was a special ed teacher and was laid off from that job in 09. I have my own business working with autistic kids and their families but it's just part-time work for me. I try to stay busy and love to get out and walk when it's nice out. Where do you live? I live in Maryland. I wish we could hike together, take care and try not to work too hard, there's no future in it ;). These are my kids that are now in their late 20's. I love their baby pictures.

I would love to hike but have no one to hike with. I started walking around my neighborhood recently and have been keeping that up. Any suggestions? My husband is disabled and can't do too many things with me anymore which is sad.
