Introduction Text I have always been overweight, for as long as I can remember. My weight struggles started when I was in the third grade. My mom was forever restricting my food intake, telling me I was fat, forcing me to get up at 6 a.m. every day to exercise, etc. This is when my abusive relationship with food began. To this day, I am an emotional eater. I eat when I'm sad, depressed, happy, excited, anxious, nervous.. basically any mood I have, I eat. I am a mom to two boys - a six year old and a seven week old. We struggled for two years to get pregnant with our second, and in the course of that two years I put on 30 pounds. Then when I finally got pregnant, I gained another 31 pounds. At 5' tall, I'm seriously overweight. I want to lose this weight and get healthy, and stop eating when I feel emotion. To start my journey, I will not be counting calories or tracking exercise. My first two baby steps are : 1. Up my water intake, drink whenever I feel like eating for all the wrong reasons; and 2. Write a blog when I feel like eating for all the wrong reasons. Let us begin.

Get fit and healthy. Stop emotional eating!



I'm a full-time corporate paralegal, a wife and a mother. I live in Regina, Saskatchewan (Canada) - born and raised. Yay Canada!

I've struggled with emotional eating my whole life and continue to struggle with it to this day. This is one of the major obstacles I'm trying to overcome.
