Welcome to my page, fellow Sparkers! Starting today (December 27th, 2014), I am beginning a yearlong weight loss challenge that will run into about 54 weeks (To January 2nd, 2016).

The challenge includes my sister, my father and myself. The rules are as follows:

- Every Saturday morning is our weekly weigh day.
- We have to pay $5 dollars to our “pot” every weigh day (We can pay in advance/Monthly).
- We can tell each other our weights.
- If we back out of the competition at any time, we cannot get our money back that we paid in.
- No matter who the winner is, the winner has to have at least 10% of their start weight lost. At the end of the year, if the person in the lead does not have at least 10% gone, the “pot” is kept going until someone does lose the 10%.

So by the end of the year, the “pot” should be around $810. There is also another amount of money I can earn if I get down to a certain weight. Four years ago I started a diet in January and my mother told me if I got down to 160 lbs (I started at 214), she would give me $200. I was VERY close to getting it at 161.5 lbs and then I gained again. BUT!!! This year I will get my money! I’m not sure if I will win the pot because I have two great competitors, however I am sure I will get my $200.
