What do I say about myself? After trying so long to survive everyday I realize now that I have not lost myself, because I never really knew myself to begin with. I don't know what kind of person I really am. There is the person people think I am, the person I want to be, and the person who is dying inside of me. Part of my weight loss journey is to see who I really am. What do I really like, what really drives me, what do I hate even?
What I want is to be healthy, to run upstairs, to lose the weight, to finish school, to stop crying, to work, and to laugh.
One day at a time...

Right now I am almost halfway to my goal and I feel wonderful! I really hope that my journey will inspire others to do what they need to do to be strong and healthy.

It's hard to make people understand that spiritual, mental, and physical health are intricately connected and when one fails, the others are weakened and may fail as well. As I lose the weight and become physically healthier my mental and spiritual health are growing as well as a natural by-product of getting fit. I feel stronger than I have ever felt in my life, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am just grateful that I was able to hit my rock bottom and begin fighting to work my way up...Its so worth it. I love being on this ride and don't ever want to get off!

I also have a blog so everyone, sparkies or not, can follow along and join me on this ride. I hope to use my experience to help change others lives and welcome any tips, comments, advice, and encouragement.

My Goals:
I want to be under 200lbs.
I want to shop in any store.
I want to fit in airline seats.
I want to walk up hills without my lungs burning.
I want to be happy.

My Program:
Well, I have recently returned to the life of a vegan and I am so happy about it...for me, being vegan is about my health, the environment, animal rights, and spirituality. I would like to increase my raw food intake on a daily basis and am doing pretty good with that. I am trying to workout at least 4 times a week. No less, but more is good.

I will drink only water and sometimes soy milk. No juice and no soda - except for the VERY occasional treat.

Personal Information:
I live in Ontario Canada, and I am Sociology major. I am planning to go for at least my masters and get into counseling for women and youth - probably. I am loving this getting to know me thing. I love the water, warm weather, and music - reggae, hip hop, and pop are my most listened to genres.
I believe strongly in equality for EVERYONE and I am an animal activist.
