Never, never, never quit.
Not changing my Page Title... because I am back. again! I knew it would be a lifetime struggle, and a lifetime commitment. I watched the finale of the Biggest Loser the other night and realized I've done too much and come too far to botch it up!
I used last year's diagnosis of "hypothyroidism" to explain it but seriously? I know better. I went gluten free about six months ago and I am on meds.

So here I am... February 6th, 2014 at 172. I've put 25 pounds back on and I will tell you, I can tell. And I will tell you another thing, working out MATTERS! I haven't been and oh my I can tell! Arms that were once well defined... not any more! Thighs that were tight and muscular, hello cellulite! Okay. Enough complaining! Let's do this!
BLAST FROM THE PAST INTROS:
From March 2011:
I started Spark in January 2006. I took some time off from August 2008 with a few stops back here and there but no real commitment. I fell in love with my "forever guy" last January and we now live together with my three kids (residential custody) and his three kids (joint visitation custody) all under the age of 11. It's the new millennium Bradys and yes, we are a little crazy!
Brief run down that I had up here from previous intro:
I started losing weight in June of 2005 when I weighed in at about 253 but not committed or serious about it really. Then in September my marriage was over. From Sept. to Dec. I lost 30 lbs. My brother, who is a personal trainer, came home for Christmas and told me, among other things, to use the loss as incentive and not gain it all back.
I found Spark on New Year's Day and started the program on the 3rd. Since then I have lost more than another 70 lbs. with their help.
I have been reading a lot lately, getting myself healthy on the inside. It surprises me that all this time I thought that my outside appearance defined me but I never took a look at how my inside effected my outside. A lot. So along with working on getting to my goal of 135, and then 125, I have become aware of so much and know that I create my own destiny. And it is good.
I am still healthier and happier than I have been in years. I now know that change happens and new beginnings can be started no matter where you are in your life.

My Goals:
I lost over 100 lbs from September 2005-December 2007. I have bobbed up and down the scale between 145-165 the last 5 years. I would like to see myself hit the lower end again by mid-summer... But more importantly, get exercise back on my daily schedule. I have seen the difference it can make, now I have to implement it.
My Program:
Currently I maintain my weight by staying in a calorie range, making healthy choices and fitting in some physical activity every day, though I want/need it to me more. I am getting back on track with drinking water, not eating at night, watching my calorie intake and adding exercise to my schedule.
Personal Information:
My name is Beth, I'm 36 and recently got remarried to Bill, in a real Elvis Vegas wedding! I am the proud mom of an awesome 12 year old boy & beautiful twin 9 year old girls, Bill has 3 great kids, 6 year old son, a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. I have my Masters in Education, working on my Masters in Library Science and currently work at a local library.
Other Information:
I read Jemima J. right before joining Spark. I have read/heard both pros and cons of this book, but for me, personally, I liked it a lot and believe that it really helped motivate me to get off my butt and do something about my weight.
