Going for Goal!!!
Week 1 - 194lbs - 9.2lbs lost!
UPDATE 2/10/11 - OMG, how did I get back here? I know how, I gave up SP and it just started sliding back on. Starting Biggest Loser contest at work on Valentine's Day. Trying to get myself back in the right mindset. I felt SO good when I lost the weight a few years ago and am horribly depressed that I am almost back where I started. Looking for help here to get back into the swing of it. Need to be healthier!

7/10/08 - WOO HOO! One year and 60+ lbs gone forever!!!!!!!! This has been a wonderful, amazing year! Thanks to all of you who helped keep me going!
----------------------------------------
DAY 1 OF SP - 7/10/07 - First day of SP! Was a size 4 five years ago, but gained it all back to be a size 18 recently. Determined to make it down to at least a size 8!
Slowly relearning that I need to focus on me and my goals - it is attainable without neglecting my family, work, etc. How did I lose sight of that?
UPDATE AS OF 10/11/07 - Have lost 30 lbs! I had forgotten that I can feel this good about myself! I have been reserving pride for my family (proud of my husband, proud of my kids, etc). NOW I"M PROUD OF MYSELF TOO! I have also graduated from "obese" to "overweight" according to my BMI!
UPDATE AS OF 11/25/07 - Have lost 42 lbs! But that's not the best part! I lost 2lbs over Thanksgiving (between Wed and Sunday). I did not feel deprived because I ate a taste of everything I wanted, just didn't go overboard. For the first time in my life, I felt good after eating Thanksgiving dinner! AND I bought a pair of size 10 jeans on Friday that truly fit! Even when I lost the weight before, I don't think I felt like I was making healthy, smart decisions. Now I do!
UPDATE AS OF 1/8/08 - I did an amazing job of staying on track until my son's birthday on 12/22. Got back on track pretty well until my birthday on 12/29. Not sure what happened, but I ate nonstop until 1/2. Gained 5 lbs in those few days. I got serious again then and even stayed strong eating out for my daughter's birthday on 1/5. I have now lost all except 1lb of it and determined that 1lb will be gone this week! I have begun to exercise a little which is a huge improvement.
UPDATE AS OF 2/4/08 - I have officially lost 50lbs since I started my journey. It hasn't been easy, but it honestly hasn't been as bad as I feared. I have made so many friends on SP. I couldn't have gotten this far without each and every one of you! Thank you!
UPDATE AS OF 3/18/08 - Well, that goal at the top of being down to a size 8 has been obtained!!!! Read the 3/15 & 3/16 blogs for more info, but I am a solid size 8 in pants and a M in shirts. Wow, to think just a few months ago I was a size 18 and most XL's didn't fit! I would still like to lose 15 - 20 lbs, but I'm more focused on being happy with my body than on the number on the scale. I never thought I'd be in the 150's and a size 8. Haven't been perfect on tracking my food the past few weeks, but determined to get back on that. I am walking at least 4 times a week for 30 - 40 mins each time and using hand weights for strength training 3 times a week. Waiting for my pedometer and heart rate monitor that I ordered to arrive soon. Think that will motivate me to walk even more.
UPDATE AS OF 5/5/08 - Happy 2nd Birthday Logan! Sorry, had to get that out of the way - my only nephew turned 2 today. Anyway, I got out of the obese range a few months ago and out of the overweight category last week. YEAH!!! Am now walking a minimum of an hour 4 times a week and have also joined the Ultimate Swimsuit Bootcamp. I love the fact that I am beginning to enjoy some exercise (well, after the first 15 minutes....). Seriously, I am the biggest exercise hater in the world, so this amazes me!
UPDATE AS OF 7/4/08 - I posted a few weeks ago in my blog that I think I need to move more to a maintenance mode instead of losing. I have given it great thought and it is kind of scary, but I think it is the right move. I am happy with my size 6 body! Is it perfect? No, but it is healthier than it has been in years and I feel good about myself. I can always go back to losing if I change my mind, LOL! This is a very exciting decision!

on being named MOD. I loved reading that your Great Dane is deaf. I studied American Sign language and it is said that one can teach the signs to dogs.
