Introduction Text My name is Kara and I am 33 years old. I did not start gaining weight until I went to college. I didn't even weigh 100 lbs till my senior year of high school. I have gained about 130 lbs in 12 years. In 2010 I got the lap band done and have lost 34 lbs. My lap band failed so I took a long hard look at my life and decided to get the gastric sleeve. I am only 4 weeks post op but so far it has been worth it. My goal is 120 and I have about 80 more lbs to go. Hoping that this is the end of stopping and starting over :-)

Just a few goals! *Run a 5k *Wear a bikini again *Get to 120 lbs *Tone up *Not have to wear a bodyshaper *Be able to cross my legs again *To be able to run around with my nieces and nephews. *To be able to wear sleeveless/strapless/halter tops again.

I have recently started the Couch to 5k program which I never thought would happen. I am also trying to do strength training 3 times a week and I've done a complete overhaul on what I've been eating. This includes me writing down every single thing. It's was shocking to see what I was eating without realizing it.

I am originally from Philly but I am living in Shrewsbury PA now. I'm looking to change my life and this is just one way that I am doing that :-)
