I am 61 years old and want to stay well and healthy to enjoy my grandchildren for a long time. I joined spark people in Apr 2007. I lost 18 lbs. fairly quickly, my goal was to lose 20 by my 60th BD( Sept 08). That never happened! Just before my BD I reached a plateau and then started gaining weight back. I gained about 12 lbs back. Now in Jan 2009 I need to lose those 12 and a few more and become healthier.

My Goals:
I would like to exercise at least 30 min 5-6 days per week, lose 15 lbs by Sept 09, eat slowly and stay under 1500 cal per day.
My Program:
I do the elliptical at the gym 30 - 40 min 5 days per week when I am on track and I try to do weights at least twice a week. If I allow myself only 1 dessert per day I do better.
Personal Information:
I am a 61 year old grandmother living in rural Maryland. I struggle with weight loss all the time. I have a tendency to graze and to binge occasionally. It is a constant battle with me. I want to be around for a lot longer to enjoy my grandkids.
