I'm happily married for 41 years. I have a daughter and a grandson who is 17 and the apple of my eye. He is pure sunshine to me. I have a niece who is 34, and has an 11 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. We raised my niece so she really is my second daughter and her children are my grandchildren too. The three of them live with us and they have increased the activity and love in our household tremedously. My hobbies are painting crafts, watching TV and reading true crime mysteries. My favorite TV show is Criminal Minds and my favorite singer is, was and always will be Glen Campbell. After losing 60 pounds 2 years ago through SparkPeople, I had some losses in the family and I've been going through some things and didn't really realize how badly I have neglected myself. I'm trying to get back into my healthy lifestyle again to reach my happy weight. I am determined to get myself back into better shape so I can feel better and get more energy to tackle my everyday activities. I need to stay focused to reach my goals. Although it is not always easy to fit in my exercises, it is a must for me. My body responds so well to exercise. Its hard to believe I hate it so much. I recently started exercising after my grandchildren go to bed, and it is teally working for me. My granddaughter likes to do what I do, so I try to make time to do a shorter, less challenging workout with her during the days that I'm home. She loves it, and so do I. It's a busy life I lead, but a very happy one.

My Goals:
I will focus on me and get back on track with my healthy eating and my exercise routine, so that I can lose the rest of my weight.

I am going to do some kind of exercise or activity for 10 minutes out of every hour that I am awake.

I am going to eat healthier types of food including more fruit and vegetables.

I am trying to eat smaller meals so that I can give my stomach more time to digest them properly.

I am going to eat slower so I can feel fuller sooner and not overeat.

I want to get better sleep at night.

I want to be even more healthy than I am now.

I want to inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle.

I keep track of everything I eat, drink and do on my daily planner.

I want to keep my brain active and healthy to avoid dementia (like my Mom died from).

My Program:
I am logging everything I eat and drink onto my food tracker and I have begun to eat healthier. I am exercising for more than 10 minutes a day, which include a variety of cardio and strength training on alternating days.

I need to lose more weight so that I can again come off of more medications.

I need to focus on my exercise program and get some kind of exercise every day to get my mindset ready to have a regular exercise routine.

I will stop ordering out so much and start cooking healthier meals at home.

Every time I feel like I need to get something to eat, but I'm not really hungry, I will get on my stationary bike for at least 10 minutes.

Other Information:
I rode a horse on the beach and I swam with dolphins in Florida as a reward for doing so well on SparkPeople the first time. These are things I always wanted to do but never had the confidence to do before losing 60 pounds.
