Update June 15 2009:
its been a while since i have been on sparkpeople. 2 months to be exact. i am far away from my goal. far far away. been stuck at 168-170 range for a couple of months now. about to get things back on track with my exercising. at one point, i was doing really well. exercising 6 days a week. cardio and weight lifting throughout the week and a good 6 mile run on saturday mornings. after i went on vacation though, i just never came off of it. and i hate to admit it but i kinda feel like since summer is already here, i have blown it anyway. so. here it goes again. from point a...... the saga continues.

*****Physical Fitness Assessment*****

Feb 25: Jackson-Pollock 7 inch Pinch Fat% Results;
Lean vs. Fat Weight= 117lbs lean & 58lbs of fat
BMI- 30.9
Waist- 80cm or 31.5in
RMR- 1354cals (resting energy expenditure; if i sat all day and did nothing whatsoever, this is what my body would burn. this was determined by a metabolic test at my gym).
Weight Loss Zone- consume 1100-1354 cals per day. I was given a weight loss plan that gives me a limit of 1354 cal per day because my RMR is only 1354 which is relatively slow for my age and sex. having a limit of 1354 allows my body to burn off more than i eat. once the weight loss is achieved, my maintenance zone will be 1354-1750 cals per day.

My Goals:
i know its cliché but.... im trying to bring sexy back. i know, i know! uhmmmm... i want to be able to not worry about my stomach hanging over my pants when i sit or how big my thighs look in a pair of tights. plus im getting old!!! i just turned 25 yrs old and im realizing that i need to get my health under control before it really starts to get harder. my goal is not to be skinny or super-thin. i dont want to go under 140lbs. i do enjoy my curves. i just want sharp curves instead of wide turns!

My Program:
workout 5 times a week doing cardio. at home, i do 3 reps of things like sit ups, push ups, dumbbell curls with 8 pounders, and the like. as far as my eating habits, I cut back on or did away with avoidable empty calories and now the majority of the things I eat have to be prepared or its something like fruit or veggies. I do have my times when I have things like peanut m&m's and chips but I make a conscious effort to keep it to a minimum.
