It's taken me over 10 years to reach this point!! WELL ACTUALLY I DID HIT this weight about 4 years ago, but I wasn't ready to accept it!!

In my mind I WANTED to be thinner!! BUT yet I can do such AMAZING THINGS I NEVER THOUGHT I'd EVER DO AGAIN!!

I've gone from 288 lbs and using a power chair 97% of the time to being able to walk 3 PLUS MILES!!

Lately health problems AGAIN are TRYING TO STOP ME, but!! Though I have to walk at a slower pace, I'm learning "OH WELL I CAN STILL DO MY WALKS!!" My smile can not be stolen from me!! My heart may be in failure, but I AM NOT!! Though in congestive heart failure, many may not realize just how much can and IS being done in this AMAZING field now!! SO MUCH!! I was so VERY SCARED When I learned of this on Feb 19th this year. But, now better educated, and THANKS TO THE MANY on SPARKS who read my blogs, and helped me to see how this is very doable!! You've encouraged me in words I can't begin to express.

I've made sudden changes to help myself along the way. I DID quit my job at the grocery store (I was part time) the income was nice, but it was extra money, more so the FUN I HAD well that was PRICELESS!! But MOST OF ALL? It was a DREAM to go back there "SOMEDAY" and I GOT TO DO EXACTLY THAT!! My weight loss, was enhanced by YOU ALL and the 5% Challenge, I also belonged to the Biggest Loser, both teams work so well together!!

Today was another surprise day of health and it's also the day I decided (3/12/2021) that I DO NOT NEED to lose any more weight. NO instead I am so pleased with all I've done it's time to just ENJOY being where I am at without any added pressure.

Exercise 40 to 90 mins a day as I can. Somedays I'll do more, a few days less. I've learned to listen to my body, it'll treat me very well as I do it. After all my body is ME!

Stay in my calorie range using SPARKS guidelines, which works so well for me. I had asked my Dr who agreed SPARKPEOPLE Is RIGHT ON with what they set for my calorie range.

Watch my sodium level at 2000 max.

Personal Information:
WEIRDLY my cat is also in Heart Failure, hers is enlarged. Imagine how strange this is. You can learn A LOT from pets!!! Izzy has NOT been upset by this news, indeed she plays daily (A LOT!) her most favorite spot is my LAP causing me to slow down and ENJOY the simple things. I NEED that and she needs my lap. A WIN WIN!!

    I started on Spark People on my 26th birthday, February 18 (almost a month ago). I'm looking to gain knowledge and good practices during this challenge. I have lost weight before, and I've been healthy before, but I need to apply these habits and behaviors to my life. I'm ready to learn how to do that!!

    So are we all going for purple hair now?? I've been out of the loop with the team so I don't know what crazy thing we are doing next.

    As for YOU, Dumpling, start to take better care of yourself. Teach that kitty person in your lap how to work out with you. You'll get a whole lot of workout if you just try to herd her into the workout room.

    I made a Death by Chocolate cake, and needless to say, I gained some tonnage. But you know what? The cake was worth it!!!!!

    I'm very excited to start this challenge. It's something new for me and I'm hoping I will have a better time with it than some of the other challenges I've joined. I like my challenges to be full of motivation and fun but not to be full of silly takes like writing about this and that and all flowery stuff. Some challenges I've joined do have that but its apart of the theme and I expect it but others it's just like that all the times and I want something that is do do do instead of plan plan plan.

    Looks like this team will be a lot of fun! Can't wait! emoticon
