Went for a small walk this morning. This fence is very popular in our area!! I live on the harbor and it's so appropriate that he created this. I'm now week 5 of bad pain in my gut. Yesterday tests were done, hoping to hear tomorrow what they showed, but there's NO WAY even in this pain I am staying inside!! It's going to hurt any ways, I did though go gently on my body. Now resting. Such a PRETTY DAY!! If you are able please go outside no matter how you feel.

    Thanks for stopping by my page. You wrote about your cat, well we have guinea pigs (4)!! They are our pets. We love them and spoil them (especially me) every day. Well, when they get sick usually it is an upper respiratory infection I am off and running to the vet. X-rays, meds, shots, oxygen etc which equals - $$$$!! I know the feeling.     I think all too often we are our own worst enemy Diane.
    You're being WAY TOO hard on yourself, you have been through hell the last few months and need to heal emoticon
    As for emotional eating the only way I got around it was to
    1) stop and ask myself if I was truly hungry
    2) ask myself if eating that cake/biscuit/sweet would really solve anything
    3) remember how I'd kick myself afterwards
    4) opt for fruit or a healthy snack to tide me over.

    Now I KNOW you are one determined lady.....need I say more emoticon

    I definitely understand your situation, because I've been there too. I don't know if I can really tell you anything new from what you've heard, but here goes. Ever since the start of the challenge, I've been changing one thing out of my routine. Whether it is participating in a week long training camp, or increasing the amount of walking I do in a day, or slowly changing to more veggie filled meals, I change something and try it for a week.

    I also realize that I can't do everything at once. I can't do strength training and do cardio and do this and do that and do a barrel roll all in one day. With my injury, I learned to take it slow and to LISTEN TO MY BODY. I think its more about learning to trust your body and understanding its limits, and pushing those limits.

    LOL, aren't you sweet to be worried about me.

    I married a widower 30 years my senior, 25 years ago. He never liked what I bought him, I never had any use for anything he purchased for me. The year he turned 70, we stopped giving Christmas gifts all together - I couldn't bear the thought of him waiting until Christmas for a gift and the possibility of his not being here.

    So, now we just buy what we want, when we want it, if we have enough money. So I haven't felt a need to reward myself since I never deprive myself either! A strange concept - I know - but there you have it.

    Just fitting into my smaller hand-me-downs is reward enough!
