Hi,
I decided that I needed a change in life, a new direction if you will, what it took was not a doctor telling me I was going to die, no I do not think that would have work, not health scare, my triglycerides were already in the 400's and still I did nothing, nope that would not work. What it took was humiliation! Yep plain and simple humiliation! From my husband no less, whom probably did not even know he did it, or heck maybe he did, hard to tell with him. Here I was at the grand total of 168 pounds, my husbands steps on the scale, I was in the bedroom and I can hear him slapping his belly gloating saying "ahhh 160!" All smug, yes he was smug. At 5'10 almost 5'11 he is at 160 here I am at 5'6 at 168. That was embarrassing and my wake up call. I ordered the book "The Hunger Fix" off Amazon started on a detox as soon as I got it and have been going strong ever since. Having that as your mantra, your husband's voice "Ahh 160" is a powerful motivator! I started the last week of April, have lost 21 pounds, I am now at 147, I was doing just arm exercises on the couch and today did my first floor weight exercises for over an hour. I can't do cardio so I have to stick with weight. I am trying to ensure I eat enough protien and fiber so that I build muscle and loose fat. I need to uptake my fat content some. But I have found since starting on this life style change that junk food and sweets are a lot easier to resist now than they used to be. I know I will have to stay away from them for life, but if I do fall off I have a program in place that will help me get back on the band wagon again and get me where I need to be. It is jot that hard it just takes making a choice one day at a time, and sometimes, one jour at a time, but the payoff so far has been worth it.

My Goals:
I have been on my life style change for over a year and reached my goal weight. Now my goals are to figure out what my health issues are, Addison or some sort of cortisol problem. Also problem with eyes, the two have caused falling issues, yes very fun times! :) Then as I do this try and do exercises to build muscles.

My Program:
Eating healthy following The Hunger Fix program, exercizing as I can, with the constraints to my medical conditions, but knowing that each day is a choice is to be made to make a difference in my life for the right reasons to put me on the right path to achieve my goals, and each day gives me a new chance of being successful.

Personal Information:
I love where I live because it stays warm here a lot, especially during the winter, we get very few really cold days. I stayed the course, lost the weight, probably yomthe surprise to everyone Iin my family. My husband doesn't really know how determined I can really be when I set my mind to something. I feel better than I have in years, glad to not have cravings and the feeling like I must have something sweet or bread or who knows what type of cravings! I love "The Hunger Fix" because I have never been hungry, I can live this way easily for life, it is not a diet but a life style change. That is what I needed, diets for me do not work but life style changes do! I hope that others out there have the same success I have. My vitamin D levels are great without having to take pills, my cholesterol is down a bunch from where is was, my triglycerides are way down, they were at almost 500. So I have to say eating healthy works great for your body, oh amd my calcium levels are good too! All wi

On this Memorial Day Weekend as we remember and honor those who have served our country I am sharing a beautiful song by the Gaither Vocal Band, Let Freedom Ring (to hear it copy and paste this link
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVVbSXz7
    jaU )

Deep within the heart has always known that there was freedom
Somehow breathed into the very soul alive
The prisoner, the powerless, the saved have always known it
There?s something that keeps reaching for the sky

Even life begins because a baby fights for freedom
And songs we love to sing have freedom?s theme
Some have walked through fire and flood to find a place of freedom
And some faced hell itself for freedom?s dream

Let freedom ring wherever minds know what it means to be in chains
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
We can be free and we can sing --- let freedom ring

God built freedom into every fiber of creation
And He meant for us to all be free and whole
When my Lord bought freedom with the blood of His redemption
His cross stamped pardon on my very soul

I?ll sing it out with every breath, I?ll let the whole world hear it
This hallelujah anthem of the free
That iron bars and heavy chains can never hold us captive
The Son has made us free and free indeed

Let freedom ring down through the ages from a hill called Calvary
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring
You can be free and you can sing --- let freedom ring --- let freedom ring
