I rejoined Spark People in February of 2018, at 220 lbs and successfully lost 55+ lbs by August of that year. I changed my life and my wardrobe! I saw the person I could be, the person I had been missing. More fun, more active, definitely healthier, it was great. My DDs and DH were very proud of me. In the August of 2018, I hit a plateau and for the next year I struggled with the same 5lbs, taking comfort in the fact that although I was 30 lbs away from goal – I was maintaining.

“WAS” was the operative word. In October of 2019, life does what life does and I gained back 16 lbs – which felt like 100 lbs. I felt ashamed that I was not able to pull upon all the good things I had learned with Spark. I distanced myself from my Spark buddies. (a great and invaluable network of wonderful people – a lot who never gave up on me) Thankfully, one positive habit persisted and that was daily walking with my Fitbit. Most recently my body has been sending me strong messages that I need to get back on track.
And now, once again I am willing to listen.
I have joined Spark Premium, reset my goals and am once again recording my calories, figuring out my fats, carbs and protein goals. Measurement have been taken! Once again into the foray with meal planning and snacking. I have found a bit of advice I will take to heart. “Close your kitchen DOWN at 7:00 P.M.” no wine, no snacks.
My goal for 2020 is to self talk positivity. Be more patient and forgiving of myself and others. Continue walking (with my Fitbit friends) – restart meditation on a daily basis, as well as take a yoga class- virus permitting. My weight goal is to weigh 150 lbs by Christmas. This is still 20lbs away from my goal weight but I want this to be as much about being healthy and healthy lifestyle as weight loss. Almost six months which would make it about a 5 lb per month loss.
Wish me luck – I can do this!

My Goals:
My goal is to achieve and maintain and enjoy a healthy weight and life style. Healthy weight is defined currently as 130 lbs. Healthy lifestyle means less couch time, being more aware of what I put into my body. The goal for 2020 is to get back on track and say good bye to at least 30 lbs before Christmas.
My Program:
I am tracking food and tracking exercise. I use the Spark calorie frame work but not the daily recipes. I do use the recipes from Spark recipes as well as finding them on the internet or my cook books. I have experienced a "reset"
