I am a 48 year old mother facing some life changes, namely I am soon to be an empty nester when my baby graduates from high school in a few months. It is now time for me. If I don't make changes now then when will I?
So many people around me are on diets. I don't want to diet. I want to live a healthier more active lifestyle. I want to enjoy my fifties and not be plagued with health issues which I've mostly avoided so far despite my weight.
Now is the time ...

2016 Summer 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment:
Walk 5 days a week (minimum 1.5 miles or 30 minutes) and do strength training 3 times a week. Experiment and try a few new exercises too, ie Yoga.
My Diet Commitment:
I'm not following any specific Diet. I want this to be a lifestyle change. -- More Water... No Soda. Make smarter Food choices. Eat Mindfully not Mindlessly.

* Lower blood sugar (it's currently approaching pre-diabetic)
* Fit into a size 12
* Lower BMI to below 30 (currently 41)
Short term goal:
Fit into size 14 jeans - bought size 14W pants for work!! Yahoo!
Lose 25 lbs by June 12 (10% goal) - did not make this date lost 19.6
My Program:
Do cardio 5x/week
Do strength training 4x/week
Hit 10000 steps daily
No soda
Track food intake
Drink at least 70 oz water daily
Eat MINDFULLY not Mindlessly
Reduce Starbucks
