Introduction Text I remember my father as he began thinking about his retirement. In slow steps, he focused more on his health. Overnight he threw out his cigarettes. He started eating more healthy. He would go out regularly to play golf and started to destress. I was proud of him. He lived 13 more years after retirement--and he did enjoy it. Now I am at that age and looking at people in their 80's and 90's. Some of them are very active and enjoying life to the fullest. I want to make sure that my golden years will be my golden years. I want to be active doing what I enjoy and with people I love until God decides it is time for me to come home. I am grateful for my fellow SP's who are on the journey with me and who encourage and counsel and teach better healthy habits.

Get healthier, get more organized and focused, take myself less seriously

Being present to what I eat; enjoying exercise by caring for the earth; spending time with my dog; getting to know the personalities of my kitties.

The joys of retirement . . . scary and adventurous.
