Since I was in my late 20's I have been tired, dead tired, so tired I can sleep 16 straight hours.
When I feel the best is when I am eating healthy and walking regularly. but most of the time I do not have the strength or energy to do so. Sounds like an excuse even to me, but it is a fact.
My weight has gone up and down for yrs I fight so I do not develop diabetes as both my parents had it.

I crave sugar. breads, sweets you name it. if it is carb friendly I crave it.. so I went to OA and I got a meal plan and a sponsor. I kept the weight off for a yr and half.but everyday several times a day I craved Carbs.

Bang I gained the weight back again.when I was trying to introduce back some healthy carbs back into my diet, the cravings got worse..

I have tried to go by the meal plans again. it is so hard to get the weight get off even with my healthy meal plan.
to make a long story short I just flat did not understand the problem. so I turned to the medical field, to help me.

Last week I was applying for life insurance, the nurse asked everything under the sun about my health and medical history. I told her I have sleep apnea and they feel I have narcolepsy also. they think I have it but i have to go through another sleep study to prove it and get medication for it.

The nurse who was a diabetic nurse for years, she said "you have Carbohydrate intolerance, you have a family history of it."
, noone had mentioned this to me accept this nurse. and the light bulb went on in my head.

ok I am a nurse was for 14 yrs. I have heard of glucose & lactose intolerance but not Carb. well with Carb intolerance you are lacking a enzyme which converts carbohydrates to be used in the cell for energy.and yes it gets worse as you age.
I began to research it and I show every sign of it. so Tom I have an appointment to see my md and see, I have it. I am 98% sure already I have this problem. So many foods I just cant have many food that I love and enjoy I cant have anymore.
so now to low carb diets and maybe keto diet plans. I have been going about this all wrong.

The good news is this is treatable without allot of medications.

My Goals:
I am eating healthier than i even had before. I follow a simple meal plan. eat three meals a day.
I have weighed and measured my food. I eat a balanced diet. If it is high in Carbs it does not go into my mouth that is my new goal.
instead of counting calories I know count carbs.

My Program:
talk to other sparks people to keep motivated. lot at blogs, notes etc study all I can to learn how to be healthier get support from friends and family

Personal Information:
I eat drink and breathe Genealogy and am a artist and a stay at home mom who teaches home school...

Other Information:
I am a Happy with my religion, latter day saint.

I do genealogy, paint am very creative. garden, can and eat alot of what we grow. luv to bake and am learning how to bake healthy foods..have kids in thier early 30's and a five yr old have been married 16 yrs to my best friend ...

    the best thing to be is fruit taste so sweet and good now.. it has amazed me the difference in taste..
    I as at th epoint I was going to need medication for my blood sugar
    and my colestrial was 186 the highest it has ever been
    but since i have lost the weight and do nto eat sugar
    my suagr levels are within normal range and my col levels are 138
    I also decreased y throid medication to the lowest dose..because the dose i was on was to much

    both my parents were diabetics my mom a fragile one..
    so the way I eat now is very good for me...i even have learned hwo to make yogurt :) emoticon

    also i have added Ezekial bread home made..
    i do use honey & frozen apple juice. & olive oil to make it
    ezekail bread to me is very healthy
    I sprout my wheat etc to make it
    it is a complete protien also.

    i have altered the meal plna I have also started eating spagetti but I add mushrooms.onions and bell peppers to it ... i figure 8 oz there
    i also eat meatloaf but add brown rice to it, seasoning and salsa
    but again I weigh 4 oz each of hamb and rice i add carrots and onions to it also

    I do have a meal plan, where i eat a very balanced three l meals a is not complicated so I can adjust when i need too. the first thing I did is kept and made a list of all things I binge on. and took those out of my meal plan period. second I
    i weigh and measure my food and what I drink
    breakfast is one serving of cereal without sugar. such shreaded wheat etc, 58 oz or one serving: 2% milk and 4 oz of fruit
    lunch 4OZ of meat, 12 oz of veggies
    2 table dressing I make my own
    4 oz of fruit

    4 oz of meat, 12 oz of veggies
    4 oz of starch such as corn, peas squash, sweet potato
    8 0z milk
    1 tab butter

    I have added a nother starch/fruit for snack at 8 or 9 pm
