Introduction Text As a world traveler and sports lover, I intend to make the most out of the great things I have to work with! Thank you for your support in my life. Update 9/3/09 - 40 lbs lost and Grand Canyon 29 miles hiked! Update 11/30/09 - Healthy BMI reached! Update 1/4/10 - 50lbs lost since April 2009!** Update 10/31/10 - Pregnant! Healthy weight gain for baby and mom is now the objective. (Current weight: 185, 10 lbs over target) Update 7/18/11 - Post-partum weight control plan begins! Baby Evan healthy, 2 weeks old, Mom weighing 14 lb over target weight (yay for successful pregnancy plan!) Update 3/19/13 - After gaining a great deal of weight in the past year, I am starting over in my weight loss journey. 214 lb heading to 164 and healthy weight again.

My goal is to look as healthy and fit as I feel. As a recovering 'serious' athlete, I suffer from a misalignment between the mental image of my body and what really exists. I haven't been a "healthy weight" since pre-puberty! Current Tangible Goals: - Change first digit to a "1" by June 1, 2009 **ACHIEVED on 6/29** - Hike rim-floor-rim of Grand Canyon 8/30-9/1 (and stay strong) **ACHIEVED on 9/1** - "Healthy BMI" in 2009 (174 lb. for 5'10") **ACHIEVED on 11/30** - Holiday Challenge 200k row 11/26-12/24/2009 **ACHIEVED on 12/22** - Net 50 lb loss in 2009 [48 lb loss in 2009 - 50 lb loss achieved Jan 2010!] -NEXT???

I am strengthening my balance and perseverence with a deepening yoga practice. Enjoying the great outdoors and getting cardio benefits rowing on Tempe Town Lake and hiking the many mountain paths around the Phoenix Valley.
