I have enjoyed Spark People very, very much. The love and friendship found here will remain dear to my heart for the rest of my life.

I have macular degeneration and was told by my Doctor today to limit my computer time. I will miss all the wonderful people I have met and those I will miss meeting - but - I would miss my eyes more if I continue to damage them.

My Goals:
My goal is maintain my weight loss and continue with the healthy lifestyle I have learned the past few months!

My Program:
Keep calories between 1200 - 1300 daily.

Strength exercises three days a week.

Walk a minimum of 5,000 steps daily.

Continue on SP! I've never had so much love and support as I've found on the boards!

Personal Information:
I am 66, happily married, have three great children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

I live in North Eastern Nevada not too far from Idaho and Utah borders.

Other Information:
I love to read, crochet, garden, make yard ornaments, Christmas ornaments etc. with the scroll and jig saw and all types of crafts. I collect cobalt blue glass ware, and cookbooks put out by groups as fund raisers.

My flower gardens are my joy during our short summers here. Not much time is spent in the house from June through September!

DH and I are both retired, but I do Nevada history and genealogy research for others.

Can't say I know the meaning of the word bored! That is a blessing in itself. DH says we are so busy now, he doesn't know how we were ever able to spend time working all those years!

    Your story of Granny Grump is sooo cute.
    You will get to your Goal, infact you don't seem to have very far to go, and you know that is the way to do it, catch it before it gets Humongous.
    I have been stuck here, going up 2# and down2# for quite a while and I am really sick of it.
    I am able to start doing a little exercise now after not being able to for about 6-8 months. I had Heel Spurs, if you know what they are, they hurt like the dickins.
    I am trying to take it easy on the exercise so as not to get it going again.
    You have joined a great group of ladies, and I am sure you will enjoy them also. Bye for now my friend Rosalyn

    It looks like you are making steady progress on your weight loss goal. Congratulations! I can relate to the craving for "comfort foods" as the cold winter months settle in here in Minnesota! I have to keep thinking that Summer WILL come and I want to be active outside in my gardens.

    Keep up with your program of stretching exercises (yoga is good) and watching your carb and calorie intake. Your little Turtle is making progress!
