Introduction Text I am a follower of the Lord Jesus. I believe that sharing the Gospel with non-believers is the duty and mission of every Christian. I was a full-time Christian missionary serving in Zambia until Oct. 28, 2019, when I had to return because of heart failure.. I have not taken care of myself and have allowed myself to get into the obese range. I used Sparkpeople from June 2011-June 2013 to lose weight and get into shape. Then my husband died in June 2013, and I just didn't care anymore. Lately, I have noticed that not only am I overweight, but I'm having symptoms of heart disease. I rejoined Sparkpeople on Sept. 6th, 2019. On September 17th, 2019, I saw a cardiologist and she has determined that I'm in the beginning stages of heart failure. It's a good thing that I have Sparkpeople to help me get healthy.

Loss weight and get healthy.

Reduce calories to lose weight, and eat for heart health. Also reduce intake of meats, eggs, and sugar in an attempt to lower inflammation throughout my body.

I'm a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. I'm retired from the US Army. I'm also a widow.
