Introduction Text I am a professional writer of fiction, nonfiction--have had 8 books, 1 play and numerous magazine articles published--have been a professional waiter--currently write reviews of touring Broadway shows and movies . Weighed over 200 pounds as a teenager--at the age of 31 lost 100+ pounds with Weight Watchers and opened franchise in Memphis, Tennessee with partner--6 years later opened Our Weigh In 1979 moved to Fort Lauderdale and went back to writing and waiting tables

To wake up every morning and go from there

Lost 100+ pounds in 1967--have put back 30 pounds since an aorta valve replacement operation and so, of course, I blame giving up smoking and medicines for 29 of the 30 pounds! LOL Going slow by choice and knowing it is the best way--I now have 12 pounds to lose to get to my second goal.

Born in the Bronx--came out in 1948 when I was 12--was in Marines (that's a whole story!)--lived in Hollywood California, Miami Beach, back to Manhattan, 10 years in Memphis with Weight Watchers and Our Weigh--moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1979 and have lived happily ever after Feel free to reach me at GreatMartin2003@yahoo.com

In 1984 after 4 lovers including the love of my life I decided to live alone--I LOVE IT--though I love alone I am far from lonely besides when I cheat on that ice cream I don't have to share!
