Introduction Text Hi there, Well....guess the reason I'm on this site is I'm in my middle 50s and at my last dr. appt. found out my cholesterol was too high. Doesn't help that I should also lose around 25 lbs to help the joint stress, etc. We've been empty nesters for 7 yrs now, so I really don't have any more excuses, right? My husband & I are quite active. Enjoy riding our motorcycles, scuba diving, reading, spending time w/ children & grandchildren. I do enjoy exercising...do Curves w/ Zumba, jog, yoga...maybe not enough and the control in eating...well...let's just say I use to be much more disciplined. I truly want to get healthier. It starts now! Wish me luck. :)

I want/need to become healthier to keep up w/ my grandchildren and be able to do the activities I enjoy. That said, my goals are to lose the extra weight I have, exercise more and to "mostly" eat healthy foods. (I am a realist. :) )

My plan is to exercise at least 30 min. every day in varies forms and track my daily eating to start with. I'll probably start a weight management program soon, also.

I'm from WI. My wonderful husband & I've been married for 33 yrs. We have a Syberian Husky, three grown children and two grandchildren. I also have many musical instruments I love to play, love reading and one of my favorite toys-my Harley.
