Hello world! I'm Ellie, a molecular genetics PhD student who loves animals, singing, and being in nature. I had a bit of a health scare recently and decided it was finally time to lose all the weight I packed on in the past 5 years. I always thought it was a later me problem, maybe for when I got married or wanted to have kids, but I can't put it off any longer... I'm 255 lbs as of starting so I've got a long way to go, but I know I can do it!

    Hey, thanks for your comment on my page! I've been off SP for a while trying to get into the swing of my new job and it's been chaotic. The fires are out now (to the best of my knowledge) so everything's okay air quality wise again. My girls are about a month out from first egg laying time, according to the internet, so we're starting to introduce egg maker food. Today they worked very hard and dug a new hole together! I'm so proud. lol

    Thanks for the comment on my blog. I havent been avoiding the doctor but since Covid my doctor moved to a different clinic temporarily and it was an hour away so she has been letting me to phone calls instead.
    But shes back in her own local office now and it is time to get my butt in there and get re-started again.
    Blood work tomorrow and as badly as I dread the scale, I know its just another few seconds of my life before that big sigh lol.
