Introduction Text I am Jaelly. I would tell you my real name, but the truth is, I'm too embarrassed right now. I mean, really. What if I fail miserably (again)? I think in this case I prefer anonymity. At least for the time-being. Now then. Why am I here? I am fat. I hate admitting it. It feels sinful, you know? Like... "I had an affair," or "I cheated on my taxes," or something. But whether it is sinful or not (and I might argue in some areas of my life, it HAS been sin that has led me to my current weight), the fact remains: I AM FAT. The greater fact is in realizing, as I did yesterday, that it is MY CHOICE. I don't have to be fat for the rest of my life. I don't have to be uncomfortable in my body. I don't have to deprive myself of the health, the life, the wellness. This is my choice. So. I'm gonna give it a go. I suck with goals, so...I hope I don't make a fool of myself. I am excited about the resources provided here (and free!), but more excited about the community. It is so nice to be able to safely say "I am fat," and know that responses will be encouraging rather than judgmental. SIGH. Good day, kids. Let's walk!
