I am Jane, welcome to my Sparkpage!
It is a great feeling to wake up every morning and be happy to face the day. I highly recommend it.
I hit the 100 pound weight loss mark on October 24, 2015.
I am pretty much in maintenance, and am already on the health plan I will be on for the rest of my life. Maintenance is just a continuation of what I have learned how to do here...track food, fitness and water, both in my head and on the Spark tracker. I am transitioning to a plan with a few more ...

I am pretty much in maintenance, and am already on the health plan I will be on for the rest of my life. Maintenance is just a continuation of what I have learned how to do here...track food, fitness and water, both in my head and on the Spark tracker. I am transitioning to a plan with a few more calories, for maintenance. That part is actually hard!! Adding calories?? Really?? :)
I reached a year as a proud member of Sparkpeople, May 10. The healthy habits I have learned here, I will continue with for the rest of my life. I will be here for a while, enjoying blogging and maybe losing a few more pounds and gaining strength and tone, and I look forward to all of it, and interaction with all of you!
Food, fitness and water diaries, along with the Spark community are the main reasons for my success. I THANK YOU!!
I am going to make the rest of my life the best of my life. I will have a fit me, a fit mind, and a fit home and I am becoming the best me that I have ever been.
For those of you that want to leave religious messages on my page, please do not. I am a HUMANIST, and have been my entire life. Humanism is a belief in the goodness of mankind, and not the belief in ANY WAY of anything but science and our good hearts influencing our behavior.
Spark on.

Being that I have lost more than 100 pounds, this all is working brilliantly.
I do chair cardio & yoga, weight lifting, ride the Nu-Step knee bike and walk and swim regularly in the local YMCA pool.
I have a Garmin wristwatch and tracker, which I LOVE.
My goal was to be in maintenance and prime emotional health by my 60th birthday, January 22 AND I MADE IT!!!
Personal Information:
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Mother of a 25-year-old awesome daughter and ISU graduate with a BA in Art, who just got her dream job. Life is GOOD!!
I got third knee replacement on Feb. 6, after my fractured right knee screwed up the previous replacement. The fracture made me realize I needed to change my life for the better, so I feel very fortunate.
Other Information:
I live on a wonderful little street in a suburb of Minneapolis. I moved here from Carlsbad, CA in 1996. I had no idea how wonderful the seasons are...Fall and it's glory, the wonder and rebirth of Spring, and the chill and beauty of Winter. I love every single thing about Minnesota except the hot, humid summers, and our state bird, the mosquito (state joke).
