Hey everyone!!

i'm a 25 year old canadian. i just graduated with a batchlors degree in psychology and i'm going for a degree in social work with the intent of getting a masters. I want to work with either the elderly or people with disabilities. I am passionate about helping peple with disabilities become more independant and successful : I hope i'm lucky enough to work in that area after my education. Between having a visual impairement and trying to lose weight i know how important self efficacy and self confidence can be!

i absolutely LOVE dogs, but i don't have the pleasure of owning one. i'm usually a pretty motivated person. Unfortunately, despite dreaming of being a healthy weight and looking good.... i'm also an extreme realist and don't really think i can manage to lose nearly 150 pounds... i really think i'm addicted with food... i think about it waaay too much. Having said all that... i somehow have to find a way to do this... i need to stop gaining. i need to loose weight! I'm DYING to find exercise that i actually enjoy doing!

My Goals:
I REALLY want to be 239 on january first. That will be a weight loss of 10% + its the lowest i've been in... at least 2 years.

Its a weight loss of about 2 pounds per week... including christmas and new years... so i know its ambitious... but i'm shooting for it!

My Program:
i'm going to go to the gym at least twice a week and follow the leslie sansone 6 week Walk away the pounds exercise "diet" (i.e. walking 1 - 3 miles 6x per week for 6 weeks)

i eventually want to be able to eat about 1600 cals per day
