I (still) ROCK!
Okay, so I still rock, because I'm always worth loving myself. But it is interesting to lose all the weight you want and then turn around, lose a little focus on what got you to your goal in the first place, and then have to come back and try again.
The good news: Trying again, getting back on your feet after you fall - that's all healthy and normal. Giving up or giving in isn't an option. And really, it's only about five pounds. I'm NOT right back where I started from. Not even ...

The good news: Trying again, getting back on your feet after you fall - that's all healthy and normal. Giving up or giving in isn't an option. And really, it's only about five pounds. I'm NOT right back where I started from. Not even close. Sure, my clothes are a little tighter and I don't like the way that feels, but I KNOW what to do about it and it's just a matter of doing it.
I jumped back onto the Spark People site, which I realize I never should have jumped off. It's true - it has to be a lifestyle change or it's just not going to be a long-term success. I really don't want to have to go up and down the scale (and up and down emotionally) every few months. It's not healthy and I'm worth more than that.
What got me to my goal was relatively simple: log my food, eat honestly, stay connected to the support of my Spark friends and my own family, and exercise (even when I'd rather sit in front of the tv and eat something sweet).
Most importantly, I'm not looking at this as a step backwards. If you count all the years I spent doing seriously unhealthy things to gain and to lose weight, then this is really just a learning process and nothing more. I'm not a failure - far from it. I'm human. I'm a learning, thinking, ever-changing person who is never going to get it all right - not even close! However, if I don't give up and I don't give in (which, remember, I said was NOT an option), then I'll come out the other end of whatever I need to learn a stronger, healthier, happier me.
Did I mention I was worth that???
