(5/11/08) I'm a 25 year old SAHM with an 2 year-old daughter. When she turned 1, I decided it was time to work on losing the weight (since it didn't magically come off). I've lost 23 lbs so far (10 with SparkPeople), and need lose 30 more. I wish I had found this site when I first started my weight loss journey. It's great!

Update (11/16/08): I'm now basically at my goal weight! Woohoo! 2 more lbs to go. I now need to tone up. If I lose some weight while doing that, all the better. Hubby got put on a low carb, no sugar diet by his doctor, so I decided it wasn't fair for me to make him watch me eat carbs. I am now doing the South Beach diet, and will be switching off of Phase 1 this week. I'll eat my carbs at breakfasts, snacks, and lunch, where he can't see me. I am also going to be starting up a toning routine, so I can be in shape for our vacation at Christmas to the Dominican Republic. That gives me about 6 1/2 weeks. I can do this! I also want to keep losing weight while I'm on vacation. If I find myself making bad choices while I am there, I may make an impromtu switch back to Phase 1. We'll have to see. For now, I just need to get toned.

Update (2/18/11) I am once again on Sparkpeople. I gained 35 lbs with baby #2. I am down 25 lbs in 6 months, but really want to lose 35 lbs more before a couple weddings I have this summer. I'm, once again, following the principles of the South Beach Diet. I finally have a stationary bike, so I'm trying to do that 6 times a week, along with following the Biggest Loser Kinect schedule that was set for me.

Drink 1/2 my weight in water daily.

I'm doing the South Beach Diet, so hopefully that will help me eat healthier.

Stationary bike - at least 15 mph 6x per week.

Biggest Loser Kinect - 4x per week

    Hey! I was just going to check in and see how you are doing, and I noticed you are doing calorie cycling. What do you think of it? I have been thinking about trying this because my weight loss has been SLOW lately and I think I need to liven things up a bit.
