Off the couch and into my skinny jeans!
I WILL shed 25 lbs before my 25th birthday!
After slowly packing on the pounds in college, and even more after joining up with the real world, my husband & I lost a bunch of weight doing a pretty strict low-carb diet in the months preceding our wedding. On our honeymoon we went crazy making up for lost "carbs" ; ) and the scale's been on the up & up ever since. That was about a year and a half ago. I WILL shed 25 lbs before my 25th birthday!
After slowly packing on the pounds in college, and even more after joining up with the real world, my husband & I lost a bunch of weight doing a pretty strict low-carb diet in the months preceding our wedding. On our honeymoon we went crazy making up for lost "carbs" ; ) and the scale's been on the up & up ever since. That was about a year and a half ago. Since then, we've lived a busy (but fun) schedule between work & social stuff with a healthy lifestyle taking a (way) back burner.
So 25 lbs would make me a very happy girl who is comfortable in my skin, as well as in my clothing! I don't need to be a skinny mini...135 will be just right. What I'm most striving towards is a BALANCE between work, social life, and my physical/emotional well-being.
These most excellent Tom Petty lyrics are my proverbial kick in the pants...

Lose 25 lbs. by summer!
Not in a nutshell:
I would like to afford myself more energy throughout the day; currently I seem to lose steam while I'm working in front of my computer and by the time I commute home in the evening, I lose all motivation to eat and act in a healthful way. My goal is to stay off the couch and live with more vigor - I'm much too young to be this dang tired!
My Program:
Hold myself accountable to the foods I eat by tracking calories, etc. Drink much more water. Eliminate excuses (it's the weekend! it's a birthday party! i'm too tired. i'll start again on monday.) for my behavior. Get going! No couch/tv until I've done something deeming me worthy of the rest! Buddy up with my sister, and others in the same situation, for support & funness : )
