Knittingfrog is DONE with the bad habits!
So it has been 3 months, and many battles have been fought, but I am still standing, and more easily I must add as I have let go of 9kg in the process.
My story began in 2000 I guess when the first of several damaging break ups took a toll on my ability to resist emotional eating. Fast forward 9 years and 38kg heavier (well, 29 now) with self esteem that was so low it was probably underground I found myself unemployed after quitting a job that was making me sick and moved ...

My story began in 2000 I guess when the first of several damaging break ups took a toll on my ability to resist emotional eating. Fast forward 9 years and 38kg heavier (well, 29 now) with self esteem that was so low it was probably underground I found myself unemployed after quitting a job that was making me sick and moved (again), this time to the sunny hills of Switzerland.
I tried 'dieting' in the past, and even paid extravagant money to the Lighterlife people to help me shift the weight. It did shift (10kg), but came back with friends, and I decided I could not be happy on powdered soups and cardboard-like bars. In an attempt to get a grip on my eating habits, I googled 'calorie counters' and found SP. And a few days in, I realised this was the help I had needed all along! Now with so many friends, and so many resources, I feel I have the power to get back into that sexy mind and strong body that were mine once. I needed a new job, but that would not come without a new attitude and renewed energy!
The job has finaly come (well at least until next March) and it is the most fabulous opportunity to start fresh. The only downsides are that I now lack exercise time and I have fellow colleagues with a sweet tooth that rivals mine! But at least I am working on my confidence: having to put make up on every day and smart-ish office clothes makes you look at yourself in a whole new positive light!
2010 will be all mine!
Original intro:
I am an emotional eater and I want to kick the habit. 13 years in the UK have left me a whole 38kg heavier than I was back at home, France...and I want THAT body back. I am only short so the weight shows and I can't do the stuff I used to do, want to do.
Luckily knitting is not limited by weight, but I long to knit whole outfits with less yarn (cheaper and faster!)
BUT now I live in Switzerland and my main weakness is chocolate...HELP!!???

My Goals:
36 with more than 35 kg to lose...the madness has to stop. I used to be very active and into adrenalin rushing activities, and I want it all back!
My Program:
I try my best to stick to my recommended calories allowance, but I also pay attention to the major food groups and fibre intake as I know my body works better if fed well. I exercise a minimum of 30 min per day on the wii fit, but am also working the C25K program 3 times a week. Overall I try and expand an extra 2000 calories a week to make allowance for my sweet tooth!
Personal Information:
Adeline, 36 years old, originally from Paris.
I am 5'1 (almost) and started on SP at a size 20 (UK).
Other Information:
I love knitting, spinning and crochet, but also gardening and adrenalin rushing sports, like skiing, scuba diving and kite surfing, but recently the excess weight has prevented me from living life to the max!
