I am back with Sparks again. Hip replacement surgery caused a layoff. I find that I have to alter my exercise routine and Yoga asanas to protect the new hip. Being ninety has slowed me down, but not out. Losing the few pounds gained during convalescence is my goal now. I know I must keep with the program to stay active and self-reliant. Living alone, it is vital that don't just sit and watch TV which would be soooo easy.

A cruise with friends for my birthday was fun, but I needed to be more mobile to do all the things I wanted to do. Another trip is planned for this Fall, perhaps to Ireland, and I am working hard to get in better shape.

    Thanks for your comment on my blog. Love your picture and the picture of the gardenia. I love it's scent and remember that once we had a potted gardenia that smelled wonderful. And, even after it was gone, the potted ficus tree next to it had retained its smell…
