My name is Sheila and I moved to Texas with my husband, Fred, my son Jeff and our dog, Max. I am a 70 something who has survived a major move to the DFW Metroplex area from Virginia. We moved here to take care of my 98 yr. old Dad. I've had some health issues and medication that took me far from my goals -- and I have neglected exercise for a while. Since I am at my all time highest weight I have decided to change my priorities and yes -- start over. So here goes.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 26 lbs., live a more active lifestyle and & be able to wear a size 10!
Lose 2 lbs. per week until I reach my goal
Maintain a healthy weight and more active lifestyle.

My Program:
My plan is to do the following:

Record all food & exercise with Spark People Trackers.
Do 30 minutes of cardio 5 days per week.

Personal Information:
I live in a rural community northwest of Ft. Worth. I oversee the care of my 98yr. old father who lives in Assisted Living here in Texas about an hour away. I have a grown son who lives with us and a daughter back in Virginia and 3 grandchildren. One in college, one in high school and one in Nursery School. I miss them terribly and I spend my time commuting and caring for Dad and painting and restoring furniture. I need to do more exercise and take much better care of myself.

Achieve my goal weight
Achieve a more fit body
Complete writing my cookbook
Get better at my hobby of refinishing furniture
Have a home in a warm climate near the shore
Travel to Florida's West Coast, Ireland &the Canadian Northwest

    Good to see you back and that you stayed "on plan". I just exercized, also, w/Leslie. I feel that I am getting back in shape but I still sweat with the workout. No air conditioning in my computer room so after awhile doing exercizes I can work up a sweat. It feels wonderful!!! I was sick for 2 days and probably not flly recovered when I started again but believe it or not...I missed it. Let`s emoticon emoticon together.

    Hellooooooooo Sheila, thanks for stopping by my page and getting to know me. Leslie....is Leslie sansone..an exercize expert. I changed my page and added her last name but I did like the comments asking who Leslie is. LOL. I have been on SP since 2008 but dropped out a few years ago. I was on here wayyyyyyyy too much and just came back in Feb 2013. It has been so good for me...all the interaction with such wonderful SP friends. I am a care giver to my husband who has Dementia. He was diagnosed 2 years ago at the age of 60. This site ahs helped me through some tough moments. Husband is doing good at the moment but there is so much more to Dementia than just memory loss. I`ll drop by while you are away and check on your house. Have a fun time. Maybe I`ll see you while you are away. I "totally" understand your concern for the eating . Something that works for me is to challenge myself to a limited gain or non at all and then reward yourself (clothes, book etc.) if you attain your challenge. If you can and want to...be accountable to me and I`ll keep youencouraged. emoticon
