I have had a weight problem ever since I was a child. I remember how focused my family was on it. When I was in fifth grade, I met a pediatrician who got me a diet I could manage myself and I became pretty empowered and lost a great deal of weight. When I went to college, when most people gain weight I lost and kept it off pretty well until after my first child. About the age of 40, I mentally became tired and threw in the towel. Unfortunately the pounds started to sneak up on me. At 55 I got on the scale and realized I could be considered obese. Also my blood pressure was up and my liver enzymes and my calcium levels were out of whack. I knew I had to gain control again, or I won't be able to enjoy my grandchildren.

I been with Spark People for just over six years now. I am not where I want to be but my doctors have seen a radical improvement in all the things that were going bad. I am still fighting with my liver, but have made changes that will help that situation. I had a very emotional year a while ago and gained back a good chunk of what I lost. I try not to dwell on that. I am still working toward my goal weight but enjoying life as it comes. I appreciate all the support that I have received from my Spark Friends and am committed to keep at it.

I enjoyed your comment on the feed about the toilet paper- gave me a chuckle. Glad you liked it.
I have a bunch more in my Laughter is the best medicine blog. I sent you a sparkmail invite to it a few days ago. We all need to laugh right now.

Stay safe up there. S. Dakota isn't as bad off as most states, like us, and hope it stays that way. emoticon

Good to know someone else had a bad experience with LG phones. And you don't like Samsung. I didn't want one of those, due to the problems they have had in the past, fires, hacks, weird issues, plus more expensive. Plus our new Motorola's are made in the USA (TX). These days don't want a phone made outside the US, like Samsung is. Also, Samsung has been lying about updates, I read that recently. Sorry you aren't happy with yours. I did hours of research on the phones Verizon (we've been with them 15 years- no problems) had available. Verizon also gave us 55+ unlimited internet for a good rate.
Have a good weekend. Hope you got some exercise in lately. We were 90 degrees today. Only indoor exercise for me. emoticon
