Introduction Text I'm a 30 yr old, newly-married IT pro in Woodstock, Georgia. I've been overweight my entire life. I've tried various diet plans over the years with some moderate success, but it has always come back (plus some). Seeing my family's health problems has made preventing them a big motivator for me. I'm legally blind from retinitis pigmentosa, so that makes exercise a great challenge. I always have to have someone else with me and that's tough sometimes.

I want to lose 50 lbs by the end of 2009.

I'm just getting back into trying to be healthy. That first step back into the gym is the hardest!

I'm 30, originally from Warner Robins, but moved to Woodstock to live with my now-husband in 2006. I'm a programmer. We've now been married for a year.

My husband and I are geeks (he more-so than me). Our next trip is to Dragon*Con in downtown Atlanta over Labor Day.
