I am back! I used Spark People from 2008 to 2013. Then I stopped paying attention to my health. Now here it is 2019. I am on blood pressure medicine. I have sleep apnea. I weigh more than I ever have in my life.

Enough is enough. It is time to put my health and well being back in balance. I want my outside to reflect the love I have for myself today. I want to look in the mirror and be proud of what I see, knowing that what I see reflects how I feel about myself. I know that Spark People is a great tool that will help me with this and all of my other goals.

My Goals:
To make health a balanced priority in my life.
To love my body.
To get OFF Blood Pressure Medicine
To sleep through the night.

Goals from 2013 that I have achieved
To get my finances in order so, I can quit my second job.
To learn to live for more than work.
To know, truly know, that I am a good person and I deserve good things from my life.

My Program:
I am using spark people to help me balance my nutrition to eat the recommended amount of calories, carbohydrates, fat, and protein each day. If I do this my weight will take care of it's self.

I am using spark people to track my exercise, and celebrating each step that leads me to greater health.

I am thinking before I eat or spend money to be sure that the action I am about to take will lead me to my goal.

Born and raised Seattle Native.

Other Information:
I love to walk and hike. I am looking for other activities that I would love to do just for me.

    I saw in EE the huddle that you needed support. Is there anything I can do to help you?
    emoticon This small emoticon has such a powerful message. Stay focused on your goals, determined to reach them, and positive that you will.
    Take every day one day at a time, sometimes even one hour at a time. Forgive yourself when you "slip" because we all do that. The trick is to forgive yourself and continue forward. Spark says to take two steps forward for every step back.
    You CAN do this because you are a strong person.

    Hey, you're super welcome. Thanks for thanking me for my comment. Especially when I returned and read my comment on your blog, I was like "OMG, that's like deciphering some ingenious military code!" I think I was especially high on a combination of sugar, fat, and self-loathing....all better now! Point is, you're doing great and I'm doing great...we're all doing great. One of my favorite quotes is from a tiny, little book called "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran (an Arabic philosopher and writer) he wrote, "Even those who limp go not backwards." Words to live by whenever you are in doubt. Ciao
