I'm 36 years old. I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 children (a boy in 10th grade, a boy in 8th grade and a girl in 2nd grade). I'm happily married to a wonderful man (abiggidy) who is also eating healthy and getting fit. I've lost around 20 pounds and have around 140 more lbs to go and then want to maintain while still getting rid of body fat and gaining muscle. (I had lost 138 lbs but gained quite a bit back.) In this journey to wellness, I've overcome depression/bipolar that I've had since I was 8 yrs old! I've been med-free since Spring 2013 and only take natural supplements!! I've never been happier or felt more alive! It is absolutely true that what you eat affects how you feel!!! The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever!!! Through Him, I can do this! Baby steps all the way works for me!

My Goals:
I aim to be a healthier me...choose better foods, get more fitness...don't go back to my old ways!

2012: Lost 40 lbs
2013: Lost 51 lbs
2014: Lost 23 lbs
2015: Gained 8 lbs.
2016: Lost 8 lbs.
2017: Gained 66 lbs due to stress, not enough exercise and old eating habits

My Program:
I need to get back on a program. We lost one form of income back in 2016 and it's been hard to buy healthier foods for me. Our kids' needs come first and if I have to eat mac and cheese and other cheap foods, then so be it.

Personal Information:
I get on Facebook more than Sparkpeople. My name on Facebook is Liz Springsteen. I check my Facebook every day. If you find me on Facebook and send a request, inbox me and say you are from Spark, or I won't accept you.

Other Information:
I love praise and worship music. I only listen to any kind of Christian music. I read Christian books. I read Christian based self help books, especially Joyce Meyer and Max Lucado books. I'm a member of this website called Good Reads. My husband is an author of a teen/young adult book. We love books in this family!

    Hi Liz-

I would like to invite you to join me on the Biggest Loser Winter Challenge.

BL Challenge is a 10 week challenge, run 4 times a year (spring, summer, fall and winter), made up of 11 teams with 24 active members on each. We compete in weekly nutrition and fitness challenges. Within each individual team you'll soon find your amazing teammates are there to support you, offer friendship, challenge you and keep you accountable just when you need it most!

The Fall challenge round is ending and the BL Winter Challenge will be starting December 5. If you are interested in joining us, please go to the Biggest Loser Winter Challenge All Teams page, click join, and add your name to the waitlist! You will find that team icon on my spark page. You'll be notified about Nov. 19 on which team you've been placed! Give it a try! What better way to lose a few pounds and work on your nutrition and fitness than with a group of fantastic people encouraging you every step of the way. emoticon emoticon emoticon
