I am 36 years old and happily married to the man of my dreams! We have three amazing boys who are the center of our universe. Dakota is 16, Kai is 13 and Rainier is 4 years old! We are enjoying being back in our home state and try to spend as much time as possible with our friends & family. We love volunteering at our kids school, and enjoy gardening & trying new recipes with our home-grown produce. I love working out at home to Leslie Sansone videos and am really trying to get back into doing these regularly. My current goal is small, 26 pounds by October, just to get some consistency back into my routine...but my long-range plan is to lose about 100 pounds. My wish is that I can inspire my entire family to join me in a healthy living plan for 2015!

My Goals:

My long term weight loss goal is to get down to 170 pounds. I know that this is a little higher than the recommendation, but I think I would be too skinny if I went much less than that.

For now I am just celebrating being down 74 pounds since November 2011!!

My Program:

I am not really sticking to a specific diet...that would be impossible for me! So instead I am going to work on eating mostly whole foods and on getting my daily intake of fruits & vegetables again, since that is what my body craves and functions best on. Also, I want to get back into a regular walking routine, without setting rigid goals for myself. I need to find a new pace that works with my new lifestyle!

I'll pretty much read anything. I love recommendations! I love the classics...Capote, Nabakov, Austin, etc. I won't see the movie if I can read the book. I love music! Anything that makes me shake my butt is a hit!

    Wanted to save these!

    Flourless chocolate cake:

    1 egg
    1 tbsp cocoa poweder
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 package sweetener (I use 2-3 tsp honey)
    a little bit of water if it seems too dry.

    whisk it all together in a little microwave safe dish, nuke for 1 minute and voila! low carb (or carb free depending on your sweetenr) chogolate cake. It really does satisfy a cake craving. YOu can add berries or nuts too for more flavor and texture.

    Peanut Butter Ricotta Crème

    One serving. Vary the ingredient amounts to your taste.

    1/2 cup low fat or part-skim ricotta cheese

    1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

    1 or 2 packets Splenda

    1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

    Dash of cinnamon (optional)

    Mix as desired, put in dessert dish, chill, and serve. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired, before serving.

    hi! thanks for adding me to your friend list.... i have been in water exercise on and off for about 2 1/2 years...
    when i started, i took the deep water class.... i really liked it, but i got into a slump and just couldn't talk myself into going... then when i decided it was time again.... about a year ago.... i went to the shallow water aerobics class.... and that is where i have been since... i had been going 2 times a week... but this session i go m.w.f and it is in the morning..... 8 am.... the instructors change up the routine almost every class, so... there is really no getting bored with it and i feel like i get a good workout almost every time.... it depends so much on how much you put into it. on my other days i try to get in a good walk... i should probably add some other things in there, too, but haven't yet. well, gotta get going... hope you have a wonderful day!

    hi there.... i just read your message about the underwater treadmill. that sounds pretty neat! i take a water aerobics class at the local y and i love it!
    you've been away for a while? well.... welcome back! you can do this!
    this is such a great website! i see you do not use a particular eating plan... neither do i..... i just try to keep it healthy and within my nutrition goals.... and i record everything i eat... it keeps me mindful of what i am putting in my mouth! ... so important for me!
