I am 36 years old and happily married to the man of my dreams! We have three amazing boys who are the center of our universe. Dakota is 16, Kai is 13 and Rainier is 4 years old! We are enjoying being back in our home state and try to spend as much time as possible with our friends & family. We love volunteering at our kids school, and enjoy gardening & trying new recipes with our home-grown produce. I love working out at home to Leslie Sansone videos and am really trying to get back into doing these regularly. My current goal is small, 26 pounds by October, just to get some consistency back into my routine...but my long-range plan is to lose about 100 pounds. My wish is that I can inspire my entire family to join me in a healthy living plan for 2015!

My Goals:

My long term weight loss goal is to get down to 170 pounds. I know that this is a little higher than the recommendation, but I think I would be too skinny if I went much less than that.

For now I am just celebrating being down 74 pounds since November 2011!!


My Program:

I am not really sticking to a specific diet...that would be impossible for me! So instead I am going to work on eating mostly whole foods and on getting my daily intake of fruits & vegetables again, since that is what my body craves and functions best on. Also, I want to get back into a regular walking routine, without setting rigid goals for myself. I need to find a new pace that works with my new lifestyle!

Other Information:

I'll pretty much read anything. I love recommendations! I love the classics...Capote, Nabakov, Austin, etc. I won't see the movie if I can read the book. I love music! Anything that makes me shake my butt is a hit!

    Hi, Thanks for visiting my blog :) Also, Yay for only one roll and no pot stickers!!!
    My problem is my default is normally way out of control. I just managed a 2300 calorie day eating out at my favorite Dim Sum place a week ago.

    So I need to figure out what a 350 to 400 calorie meal would look like at their restaurant that would still make me happy and content but not ruin my fat totals/nutrition plan. I have told myself that I can eat anywhere I want as long as I have a couple of options that I know will be good for me. Even Micky Ds if I get a desperate craving - GOTO meal is hamburger happy meal with the apple slices and reduced tiny fries with water or small diet coke.

    According to a number of people I have talked to about the tension in my abs, it's pretty normal. BabyFit's Cathy Cram told me to do these exercises, starting with just Level 1 and 2 for a few weeks and then progress on as soon as I master those.

    If you want some personalized fitness advice, you can go to this thread on BabyFit .com (Exercise Central Forum under Message Boards and the Exercise Motivation Group thread) and she'll help you. She's so encouraging and is very knowledgeable about postpartum recovery. I've found it really comforting to work with her as I ease back into working out.
