**NOVEMBER 1 2019**
September 22 2019 = weighed 269.2
November 1 2019 = weighed 269
Bought the book Bright Line Eating along with The Official Bright Line Eating Cookbook. Am reading through the book (re going to go sugar and flour free) and it makes sense. Looked ahead to see what the food plan looks like and it looks doable - have been doing a lot of it but am not going to work at being 100% compliant. Tuesdays are my weigh in day so Day 1 of this plan will start on Tuesday November 5 2019 - will be taking 2 pictures - one full body and a new profile picture. I am going to be working this plan some the next few days to get ready for it but official start date November 5. Have the kitchen all set up and discussed food plan with hubby - don't want to have to make 2 separate meals (one for me, one for DH and DD - so will see how this works. Am excited as I am sure this will help with the digestion problems I have - just need to do a bit more work on choosing the vegetables that won't bring on an IBS attack. My goal is to lose 4 pounds this month - one pound for every Tuesday in November - now to do the work of staying on track - lots of 'I don't eat that' will happen I am sure.

Starting weight as of September 22 2019 = 269.2
Weight as of October 1 2091 = 268.6
Am working through The Sparkpeople 28 Day Program and loving it - I am blogging my journey should you wish to read what I am learning and how it is going. Looking at food a lot differently and feeling much better about it.


**SEPTEMBER 28 2019**
I read a great article re goal setting and there are using what they outlined to share mine here

Realistic: I want to release some weight

Specific: I will release a total of 140 pounds

Forgiving: I will forgive myself when I have a setback

Crystal Clear: My desire is clear - I want to be more healthy

Valuable: My health is the most important because if I am not healthy I am not able to be the best wife, best mother, best friend to anyone

Challenging: It is a challenge for me to make the necessary changes in my lifestyle as I have been on the wrong road for many years

Rewarded: With meeting each small challenge head on I will be rewarded with better health, better mobility and of course looking better helps

Backup: My back up plan is to stand up, shake off the negative thoughts that have returned, and start over at where I am.


**SEPTEMBER 22 2019**

Starting weight 269.2

Long time member of Sparkpeople but have had to close out previous account and start over - problems with my email and all so it was better to start over - am praying that the email problem is now fixed as my server says it is.

A bit about who I am and how I got here:
Started gaining weight in my 20's and rather than taking control when I was 30 pounds overweight I ignored it - and now 50 years later here I am with over 100 pounds to lose. On the good side I have lost 48 pounds in the last 36 months so am going in the right direction.

It is now time to pick up the speed a little as my health is failing and my organs can't take much more of the abuse of being overweight. So am stepping out in faith that one year from now I will be considerably less re weight.

I am married to a wonderful man since Dec 1983. I became a mom the day I married - to my 2 beautiful step daughters, who were 11 and 13 at the time. Five years into our marriage we adopted a sibling group - special needs - our handsome son and our beautiful baby girl who happens to have Down Syndrome. Our youngest, who is currently 30, still lives at home, and she brings me the greatest joy. Our two older girls are both married to wonderful men and both have blessed us with grandchildren, 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons. Our son, though not married blessed us with a beautiful granddaughter and since then the she has become the big sister to 2 brothers, one of whom went to heaven at age 15 months from brain cancer. We consider them our grandsons though they were not fathered by our son - but they are part of our family. And our older granddaughter has blessed us with one great granddaughter (age 2 at this writing) and in 3 weeks will present us with our next great granddaughter.
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.

My husband and I are born again Christians and are active in our church. We have truly been blessed with a wonderful pastor that has taught us a lot not just from his great sermons on Sunday but from 2 courses he has taught us - Foundamentals of the Faith and Systematic Theology. We are starting another 13 weeks of Systematic Theology next week - it is a great course.

We also have one small dog - Molly - her brother Benji passed away Jan 29 2019 and we miss him so. But Molly is making sure she gets a lot of attention and just loves going for her morning walk with hubby.

My Goals:
My goals = my foundation of what I am going to be working on are as follows:

(1) Track all food each day here on Sparkpeople
(2) Food will consist of vegetables = taking care not to eat so many that I have an IBS attack but enough to help with weight loss and fiber issue / a little protein at each meal but watching the amount due to Kidney problems / no more than 3 fruits a day / no processed foods and lastly no sugar other than what is in fruit
(3) Walking is my form of exercise - I am tracking my miles walked = am a slow walker and am working at increasing the daily mileage but to start it is 1 mile a day with a goal of 5 - 6 miles a week. Working toward getting up to 3 miles a day by this time next years
(4) Bible reading - my husband and I read the Bible daily - 4 chapters each day - and we will continue this till we finish it and then start over. We are also doing a study as mentioned above called Systematic Theology.
(5) Baby blankets = I make them for the Preg

As of November 5 2019 I will be using The Bright Line Eating Program - that will be my base - which is going sugar and flour free
