Update: August 10 2020
I have officially completed the 14 day challenge. Was great to receive the daily video blogs giving tips for the day. I went from 255.7 to 249.4 which is a 6.3 loss. Feeling good about that.

My next plan is to do what is BLE calls a Boot Camp. It goes for 10 weeks and each weekly module has between 10 - 14 video bloggs - you get to keeps these for live so anytime in the future you can redo the boot camp. I have started the Boot Camp as of today August 10 2020 with a starting weight of 249.4. I have been dealing with a medical issue this week - IBS - which makes eating veggies very difficult. So am still on a modified version of the plan but today am feeling a lot better and am looking forward to getting back 100% on plan. I am keeping a food journal as suggested, 3 meals, no snacks, measuring all food, no sugar and no flour. I will return her to update in 4 weeks which will be on September 7 2020 = am looking forward to being able to update showing great progress (especially when we take in the starting weight from the 14 day challenge)


Update: July 27 2020
Life brings many obstacles, many challenges - and I must say I have had my share. But the past is the past and I have learned many things only to realize I still have a lot to learn.

I have tried many diet plans, lost some weight then gained it back + = it is time to get serious - my life is precious and due to my neglect I have many health issues which would improve greatly when I release the unnecessary weight I am caring on my body.

I was told last fall (end of Oct 2019) about a program called Bright Line Eating. I bought the book and followed the program through November and December releasing 30 pounds.

Then 2020 started and everything went down the tube once again. I did not recognize the fact that I was feeling anxious due to the Covid all around us. From March to July 26 I gained back 15 pounds - the doctor tells me that is called 'covid 15' = sadly I got it and have been struggling.

Over the weekend I relooked at Bright Line Eating and realized that I needed more structure - so though I have done the boot camp (sort of) and am now what is called a Bright Lifer I came to understand that I need to get back to the basics.

So yesterday Sunday July 26 2020 I purchased the 14 day challenge through Bright Line Eating. Today is Day 1 - and all is well - feel really strong today. With this 14 day challenge I will be able to open a module (blog) each day (listened to day 1 this morning). It was great - 5 minutes of encouragement reminding me that I can do it, reminding me to eat only what I wrote down in my food journal. All meals have been eaten, the kitchen is now closed and I have stayed on plan - successful Day 1.

Looking forward to getting another encouraging message tomorrow with suggestion for the day. I was able to stay on plan for today, and my goal is just one more day - taking each day at a time.

When the 14 days are over I will return and update this page, along with what my next plan of action will be.

August 9 2020 weight: ??? (am not making a guess or goal just going to work the program and see what happens)

My Goals:
Goals for July - December 2020
1) take it one day at a time working on staying on plan
2) water goal is to work up to 90 oz
3) first thing every morning before breakfast to spend 10+ minutes sitting outside on the porch getting some sunlight
4) work at getting more mobility back - goal is to start with 500 steps a day and eventually get up to 2 miles a day = will take time due to mobility issues but I am going to do it
5) start each day after breakfast with my Bible turning to my Lord for guidance, strength and direction for each day


My Program:
1) no sugar / no flour
2) 3 meals a day no snacks
3) record all meals the night before and stick with it 100%
4) measure all foods
