Some days I feel like the luckiest person in the world.
I try to live every day in gratitude
for my life as it is TODAY,
right now,
in this very moment.
I'm retired at 68 and still paying my bills (barely).
I've been married forever (FIFTY TWO YEARS!)
to the man of my dreams (most days),
my high school sweetheart.
My 3 children are all grown,
as happy and as healthy as I could make them.
So sad to add that my dear younger son, Patrick, 50, father of my three grands, died in November 2020 after battling colon cancer for four years.
I finally became a grammy in 2009!
Now we have three little darlings.

I just sold my beautiful second home on the sweet island of Anguilla and moved from a little condo back to a three bedroom house (up-sized!)

I LOVE to exercise and meditate.
I also love to eat and drink!
Time to get rid of these extra 50 pounds that have crept up on me in the last 20 -30 years of living the good life.

1/25 -0***lost 6 in Jan.
2/22 +1***lost 2 in Feb
3/29 -1***lost 4 in March, 12 lbs down!
4/25 -1***lost 3 in April, 14 lbs down!
5/16 -0 (after 2 weeks of increased calories)

***5/19 -1 !!!***
5/31 -0 down 3lbs for May, 18 altogether
***6/1-20 on vacation @JasmineVilla
6/21 ***+2 (but SO worth it!)
6/27 ***-2 (easy come, easy go)

8/15 *** -2 I must get off this roller coaster.
8/23 ***-1 (down 3 for Aug- 25 altogether!!!)

I ended up down 2 for Sept- up 3 for Oct-
recommitting for November.
November- who the heck knows?
December- ditto!
Jan -March/10- same!
April- yahoo!!! increased calories- down 2 pounds!
update- it's Oct-2010- on a one year plateau but not giving up- never, ever, ever. Every month I try something new.

ANOTHER NEW update- after maintaining 168 for SO long,
my weight crept up 1-2 lbs a month since I developed hip bursitis and I am now (June 2011)
hovering around 180.
9/1/2012 update- STILL hovering around 180...
9/1/2013 ....still 181...
Will I give up?
NEVER!
AGAIN...12/2014 ...182-4 most days
(How great t9 be able to look back!)
10/17. After starting LCHF last year I happily touched 170 a few times but then slacked off and gained 10 back in a year and am now back to 180 AGAIN!

    Your current status "I'm happy ... we are all too negative" is what my exercise video tells me everyday: "imagine what can happen if you replace negative thoughts with thoughts of appreciation?" Doing that sets the day!

    Gotta admit, "guys" and "all good" don't for some reason annoy me as much as "no problem"!! Which tells me: it's all pretty idiosyncratic . . . and maybe I could relax and move with the times a bit?? Love those fiercely offended conversations in my head . . . not actually happening "out there"!!
