Mia vojaĝo means "my journey" in Esperanto. As a goal-oriented person who loves to make lists and rejoice in achieving specific goals, I often need to remind myself that the joy in life is the JOURNEY (not the destination).

At the ripe old age of 51 (yikes--I don't FEEL 51!) I am painfully aware of my strengths and weaknesses. I have been coasting somewhat peacefully through life with a mix of moderately hard work, a cheerful attitude, lots of good luck and some good decisions (as well as a few bad ones!).

Like many women who have reached this age, I can look back on my life thus far with lots of happy memories and I am thankful for a good, loving husband and thriving (now adult) children. But.. like a lot of women my age, I have come to realize that I have let some things go by the wayside (my hefty 255 pound frame is one of the things I have neglected over the years). So here I am - ready to make some healthy changes and choices on this journey called LIFE.

Mar 20 - Celebrate Spring and 10 pound loss (down to 240)
April 4 - Celebrate Easter and 15 pound loss (down to 235)
May 5 - Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and 20 pound loss (down to 230)
June 21 - Celebrate Summer and 30 pound loss (down to 220)
July 4 - Celebrate Independence Day and 35 pound loss (down to 215)
Sept 1 - Celebrate Fall and 51 pound loss (down to 199 - ONEDERLAND)

Track my food (count my calories)
Move Daily (minimum 30 minutes of walk, swim or cardio)
Stretch Daily (minimum 10 minutes of stretching or yoga)
