These are some key factors I use to stay on track and so far I have found success
-count your calories
-make sure to get 30 minutes of aerobic excercise a day
-change up your routine, it makes life more interesting
-set goals
-talk about your goals with family or friends
-reward yourself
-do not be too harsh on yourself because this will only hurt... be kind to yourself
-the scale does not necessarily matter all of the time.
-drink your water!
-eat all of your fruits and veggies
-remember your portions!
-stick to it... the weight WILL come off
-buy yourself a good pair of walk/run shoes
-buy yourself workout cloths as you get fit.... they are actually pretty attractive
-look at yourself in the mirror... with or without clothing.
-take before pictures even though you might hate to look at them.
-take progress pics... trust me... the difference will be very evident.
-dont let people discourage you!
-cut back on the alcohol... they are empty calories.
-remember to stay positive and always look toward your future goals!
-if you make a mistake, get up, dust off, and figure it out.

-run a 5k in 2013
-meet my goal weight by September 2013
-wear a size 8 jeans and feel comfortable
-maintain my goal weight

My Goals:
I want to be able to fit into a size 8 again and have a flat stomach.
I want my back fat to go away.
I want my chest to shrink.
I want to be able to run a 5k in under 30 minutes.
I want to be in my healthy range for my BMI.

My Program:
I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I take a Zumba class Saturdays and Sundays, a Turbo Kick class on Mondays. I jog on the other days. I go to Kung Fu on Wednesdays...and in between I do strength training. I dont really have a set schedule... but I do work out A LOT. I am extremely active. Also, I take a Swing class with my husband Friday nights.

Personal Information:
I am from Southern California. I live with my husband Shaun, my cat Zelda, my dog Sable, and my other dog Pheobe. We are a happy little family.
I am very close with my Mother and my Grandma.
I am so happy to have joined Sparkpeople.

    Little Will is adorable and I agree, totally worth every inch! That is how it was with my kids. It happens to pretty much every woman. We work it off though! You will! I haven't been doing great. Not working out and not eating right. I simply cannot get back in gear. I do good for like 4 days then fall off?!?! I don't know what to do! I gained back weight and flab. So depressing! How is motherhood, are you exhausted? : )

    Hi Kelsey! Thanks so much stopping by. The last couple weeks have been really bad for me. I had my grandfather's funeral and was home for about a week, not eating good food. Then other stuff kept popping up, so you know. I am not getting on a scale for awhile because I don't want to beat myself up too much. So I started over this week. One day at a time right?! Hope all is going well with you.
