Hello fellow SparkPeople!

I was one of those lucky ones, weighing in between 120 and 139 in my twenties and thirties - eating whatever I wanted without consequences. Then, as time went marching on, and life took its toll, I gained, and lost about 700 lbs in 15 years! (and, in the words of Erma Bombeck, "I should be hanging from a charm bracelet") Eventually, I blew up to a terrible all time high in August 2011.

Enough was enough!

I rolled my sorry a$$ to Weight Watchers, and successfully lost 30 + lbs! I was pumped! I looked and felt awesome..

If I can do this, I can do anything! So, I decided to tackle another "vice". Smoking.

On my son's 32nd birthday, August 15, 2012 I butted out my last cigarette. It was easier than expected...BUT... I substituted my smokes for food.. I would be sitting at dinner eating, wondering what I was going to pick on "after" dinner! ...ridiculous!

The poundage came back, with a vengance! (and brought along a few more of it's friends, to the tune of an extra 5 lbs more)

Fast forward four years...

Back to Weight Watchers...hung out there for awhile - not motivated... Back to MFP..hung out there for awhile..not motivated. so here I am checking out Spark People again. Not happy with that big red ad at the top of every page...but whatever - I will deal with it for awhile.

Starting back on 21 Day Fix in the next few days - I really love the eating plan, and the workout schedule. So let's see how I manage 2017 getting this darn weight off.

I have more to lose - and my health to gain - but let the journey begin.

My goals are aggressive - but enough is enough - and my Dr. has given the word too...smarten up, and get this weight off, or else...

Hope to share this journey with others...I'll be blogging, and vlogging (once I get the nerve) - so, add me as a buddy if you like. Let's do this together - one fruit and vegetable at a time!

My Goals:
Crack ONEderland by May 22, 2018

Normal BMI by August 15, 2018

Long term: Have my weight in Kilograms, the same as my birth year! (60 kg = 133 lbs)

My Program:
21 Day Fix - Daily (includes strength training 4 days per week)
Cardio - 20 minutes minimum with dog walking.
Urban Poling - 2 x per week
Aqua Fit - at least 1 x per week

Personal Information:
New Grandma as of August 29th, 2017. Married for 39 years, two lovely kids - daughter and son that I am very proud of. Love them very much - I tell them that every chance I get! Mom to two amazing pups - yellow lab Jake, and border collie mix Missy - keeps me moving at least 30 minutes daily.

Other Information:
Lived in Ontario Canada almost my entire life.
Worked full time for 37 years, for someone else. Recently "restructured" out of my latest position of 17 years.
Currently building my own nordic walking (urban poling) company. www.sterlingtodd.ca
I am a certified home staging & re-design consultant and a beginner quilter.
