Co-administrator McDougall Plans
I came to a Whole foods plant based diet after my cholesterol increased tremendously and I learned that I had a family history of high cholestorol (resulting in family deaths from stroke/disability from stroke). ("The ideal blood cholesterol level is below 150 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), based on the results of the Framingham Heart Study and other research. At that level, heart disease is very unlikely. " PCRM)
Finding Dr. McDougall and his free program taught me the hows and whys of eating a whole foods plant based, no oil diet for optimum health. Along the way I found other doctors whose work also supported this (Esselstyn, Ornish, Gregor, Barnard,etc...).
Along the way, my diabetic husband started eating this way and exercising more and has consistently reduced his A1C to the point that he is now "Pre-diabetic." We are hopeful that one day, he will eventually have normal blood sugar A1C.
I became a co-leader for the Mcdougall group so that others could benefit from this wonderful program.

I painted them with Angelus leather paint. You paint it on with a paint brush. So far, they are wearing very well.
