Introduction Text Starting a new year tomorrow. 2018!! So I figured it was time to update my spark page as well. I've fallen off the wagon and need to focus. So I will start by cleaning up this page as I move forward. I started in 2008. I've been up and down weight wise. I think, in retrospect, the ups and downs have gone with the things happening in my life. Sad truth. When I'm down I eat which doesn't help. On the positive side is I have made some amazing friends on this site. Lifelong friends that I so greatly appreciate. Some of us have met and some of us meet on a yearly basis. Never run out of things to talk about, laugh about, and sometimes cry about. We're a family of sorts. So now as 2018 begins, 10 years after my initial involvement with Spark, I need to work on finding that SPARK yet again and focus on taking care of ME!!! I can't fix things out of my control so I must learn to handle them without food. Bring is on 2018. I'm ready!!

Enter a summary of your goals, or just a few you would like to share. In 2010 I've walked my first 1/2 marathon. Now I want to learn the Galloway method to run and hope to run a 1/2 marathon in March of 2011 with a couple of spark friends. I choose to be healthy as this is the year that I will become a grandparent and I want to be around for a long time to watch this child grow up and be a part of its life.

Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals. Daily exercise including walking, strength training, stretching. Lowering body fat and increasing H2O. Count calories and stay within range to maintain goal weight.

My name is Louise (a/k/a Weezie) and I'm from Kalamazoo, Michigan. I am married to a great guy and our four children are grown. I have two wonderful sons and a daughter-in-law. I also got a lovely step-daughter and step-son with this marriage. I also welcomed my first grandchild, Ava, into the world 12/20/09. UPDATE: On 3/10/11, welcomed my first grandson into the world, Kellan Michael. 11/10/11, welcomed granddaguther Mya to the world.

Make no excuses - you are the only one in control of the outcomes in your life. There is no THEN, there is only NOW!!! When I am anxious it is because I am living in the future. When I am depressed it is because I am living in the past. Change is inevitable - embrace it!!! What we think about ourselves becomes the truth. We create our experiences by our thoughts and feelings. How we view the world determines what we get.
