I am a 36 year old mother of 6 in need of a change. I'm trying to get back to who I was when I had a life of my own. It's a bit about reclaiming myself (but not ignoring my husband and children of course).

Thus far, I have lost 15 pounds. It's been very difficult to accept how hard this journey is. When I was younger (even just 4 years ago), I could set my mind to lose weight and it would fall off with very little effort. I guess the pounds try to stick around a little more as I age. It's been a real struggle to lose the 15 pounds and I'm getting tired, but I haven't given up.

I appreciate all the stories of my fellow SP because they inspire me to continue. Whenever I am on the verge of throwing in the towel, God will lead me to someone's story of victory over the scale. It only pushes me to believe more and more in myself.

Thank you to all of you for sharing your stories.

5/3/09 UPDATE: Now I've lost a total of 20 pounds...only 16 more to go. My weight loss schedule is:

SW: 148
GW: 145 by 5/19/09
GW: 143 by 5/30/09
GW: 140 by 6/15/09
GW: 137 by 6/30/09
GW: 134 by 7/15/09
GW: 132 by 7/31/09

My Goals:
My goals are to lose the 36 pounds and enter and complete a 5k.

5/3/09 - I've lost a total of 20 pounds and am looking to lose another 15. Just started Bootcamp today.

My Program:
1. 30-60 minutes of cardio 5x/week.
2. 1200-1500 calories/day.
3. 8 glasses of water/day.
4. 5 veggies/fruits per day.
