Thanks for the relaxation music. I am home after 10 days in the hospital and two weeks in rehab. I am learning to walk again. It is too soon to tell if I will be able to walk again without a walker. Regardless, it does give me more independence.

The only real difficulty I have still is the severe pain at night. I am not allowed to take antiinflammatories because making bone requires inflammation.

I begin outpatient PT on Monday. Life continues and hopefully continues to improve.

    Thanks for your caring,

    Kimberly

Liz. thanks for taking the time to ask about the surgery. Tomorrow is two weeks since surgery and I just hope it is too early to tell. At this point, I can't walk now at all. I get 6-10 feet of shuffles. Prior to surgery, I walked like a monkey, but I could walk 200-300 feet. I am in major pain if I do the slightest things. My fentanyl patch has been increased from 75 mcg/hr to 100 and they added two more 5mg oxycodones onto the breakthrough list. I wake up at night crying in too much pain to move. I need help to turn, I need help to get to the restroom. I don't see the doctor until mid August, turns out the Dr. is gone for a week. So I will have no idea if I am done being fixed or am on the right path until then. I am getting upset now and need the correct answer.

I hope your meds have been straightened out to help you. Take care.
